Dried Cod fish |
Often described as one of the most dangerous cities in the world we were reluctant to spend much time in this city but a plane rescheduling left us with a day to occupy so we decided to do a tour of the city with a guide Luis from Around SP

Dried Herbs & Spices |
The population of the Sao Paulo city and district is 18 million, which of course means horrendous traffic problems. Luis drove us around the city for about 5 hours with just a few stops, so we certainly saw a lot of the city.

Of interest was the Central Market, which houses sellers of
fresh food as well as some very good restaurants. There were stalls that just
sold pig, all of the cuts from the ears to the tails and everything in between,
and others that just sold beef again every part of the cow was available for
sale.
Whilst we felt very safe with our guide I wouldn’t have
liked to venture into this city by myself.
